The College of Islamic Sciences at the University of Baghdad organized a seminar titled “The Future of Technology: The Impact of Technological Advancement and Artificial Intelligence on Human Societies,” under the patronage of the Dean of the College, Professor Dr. Ne’ma Dahesh Farhan.

The seminar aimed to shed light on the intellectual and ethical challenges posed by the rapid development of artificial intelligence, highlighting its implications for both individual and collective identity. It also explored optimal ways to harness these technologies in support of human development.

Participants included Assistant Professor Dr. Imad Al-Din Abdul Razzaq and Assistant Professor Dr. Ayman Sarim Shakeeb, who discussed the major transformations brought about by technology and artificial intelligence in scientific, social, and economic domains, and their influence on human consciousness and cultural values.

The seminar concluded with a set of key recommendations, most notably the need to adopt in-depth studies on the societal impacts of artificial intelligence, integrate its topics into academic curricula, and encourage interdisciplinary research that bridges the humanities and technological sciences.

This seminar contributes to the achievement of Sustainable Development Goal 4, which advocates for quality education.
