Digital skills are becoming a key factor in job readiness, according to a workshop held this week at the University of Baghdad’s College of Engineering.
The Department of Mechanical Engineering, in cooperation with the Continuing Education and Employment Qualification units, organized a workshop titled “Artificial Intelligence and Job Market Trends,” delivered by Assistant Lecturer Alia Hussein.
The session introduced the concept of artificial intelligence and its leading applications across various sectors, while highlighting how these technologies are being deployed in ways that align with the fast-changing demands of the job market. It also focused on the importance of developing modern digital skills and their role in improving employment prospects and keeping pace with technological change.
The workshop concluded by stressing the need to adopt modern technologies, particularly artificial intelligence, given their significant role in building students’ capabilities and preparing them for the demands of the future job market.
The activity supports one Sustainable Development Goal: Goal 4 (quality education).
