A faculty member from the College of Administration and Economics, Department of Economics, Professor Dr. Sabah Naama, participated in the scientific symposium titled (Economic Stability and the Implications of Cybersecurity), organized by the National Defense College / University of Defense for Military Studies.
Dr. Naama delivered a lecture on the relationship between economic stability and cybersecurity, emphasizing the close connection between the two. Cyberattacks cause significant financial losses, damage institutional reputations, compromise individual privacy, and hinder the operation of critical infrastructure, thereby destabilizing the economy. Conversely, investment in cybersecurity enhances trust, stimulates innovation, supports digital growth, protects the economy from harm, and contributes to achieving sustainable financial and economic stability.
This participation fulfills several Sustainable Development Goals, namely Goal 4: Quality Education, Goal 16: Peace, Justice and Strong Institutions, and Goal 17: Partnerships for the Goals.
