College of Artificial Intelligence Joins Advanced Summer Training Program in AI with IBM

The College of Artificial Intelligence at the University of Baghdad participated in the advanced summer training program in artificial intelligence, hosted by the College of Engineering at Al-Nahrain University. The program was organized under the patronage of the National Center for Artificial Intelligence, affiliated with the Office of the Prime Minister, in coordination with the Research and Development Directorate at the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, and in collaboration with IBM.

The program included thirty students—fifteen from the College of Artificial Intelligence at the University of Baghdad and fifteen from the College of Engineering at Al-Nahrain University. It featured an intensive one-month schedule with two weekly lectures, one in-person and one online, delivered by IBM experts. The training was designed to align with the latest developments in artificial intelligence technologies.

The course aims to strengthen both theoretical and practical skills, enhance participants’ ability to apply cutting-edge AI tools, and connect academic outcomes with labor market needs. Students are exposed to global best practices and applications, ensuring their competencies are aligned with international standards.

This initiative supports the Sustainable Development Goals, specifically Goal 4 (Quality Education) and Goal 17 (Partnerships for the Goals).
