In a new academic achievement underscoring the scientific stature of the University of Baghdad, Dr. Ali Adel Abdul Hamid, faculty member in the Department of Construction and Projects at the university presidency, has been appointed Editor-in-Chief of Mesopotamia Journal of Civil Engineering, published by Imam Jaafar Al-Sadiq University.
The journal is recognized as one of the distinguished scientific periodicals in civil engineering, indexed in the global Scopus database and classified within the first quartile (Q1). This ranking reflects the high quality of its research output and adherence to rigorous academic and peer-review standards.
Dr. Abdul Hamid’s appointment embodies confidence in the academic competencies of the University of Baghdad, reinforcing its leadership role in managing prestigious scientific journals. It also highlights the university’s contribution to supplying academic institutions with expertise capable of advancing research both locally and internationally.
