The Department of Computer Science at the College of Science, University of Baghdad, organized a scientific workshop titled “Advancements in Robotics: Emerging Trends Defining the Future”, in collaboration with the Continuing Education Unit and under the patronage of Dean Prof. Dr. Raed Faleh Hassan. The event was attended by a number of researchers and faculty members.

The workshop aimed to provide a comprehensive vision of the latest developments in robotics, with emphasis on practical applications across industry, healthcare, and services.

Discussions highlighted the integration of artificial intelligence and machine learning to enhance robotic perception and decision-making. The program also explored collaborative robots, autonomous navigation systems, and the growing field of soft and flexible robotics.

Further focus was placed on the importance of digital twins, rapid simulation, edge computing, fifth-generation technologies, and the industrial Internet of Things. Ethical considerations, safety standards, and sustainability in robotic system development were also addressed.

By aligning with the fourth Sustainable Development Goal on quality education, this initiative underscores the University of Baghdad’s commitment to advancing scientific knowledge and preparing future-ready competencies.
