The Continuing Education, Rehabilitation, Employment and Follow-up Units at the College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences for Women, University of Baghdad, under the auspices of its Dean, Prof. Dr. Fatima Abdul Maleh, in cooperation and coordination with the Advisor to the Parliamentary Legal Committee of the Iraqi Council of Representatives, Dr. Saleh Najm Al-Maliki, organized an awareness workshop for female teachers and college employees entitled (Anti-Corruption in Promoting the Values of Integrity and Transparency).

The workshop aimed to clarify the difference between the concepts of integrity and corruption, as the first represents sincerity in work, the rule of law, the adoption of efficiency, achieving security and stability in society, and respect for morals that are the basis for practicing the job in all honesty in order for the goal to achieve integrity because it is a weapon against crime that threatens the stability of society and stands as an obstacle to its progress, while corruption is the looting and waste of public money that leads to the collapse of moral values and the spread of injustice and crime because it is considered crimes against human society.

The workshop showed the role of the judiciary in ending all forms of corruption represented by nepotism, mediation, financial and administrative corruption, by promoting the values of integrity and anti-corruption strategies, which include the role of parliament in combating corruption represented by integrity and integrity among parliamentarians, parliamentary tools in combating corruption and the need to invest them, in addition to the role of the executive authority and its independence in fighting corruption.

At the end of the workshop, the Dean of the College granted the Advisor to the Parliamentary Legal Committee, Dr. Al-Maliki, a letter of thanks and appreciation and the shield of the College in appreciation of his efforts and effective contribution to enriching the workshop with valuable scientific information that serves the community.
