The College of Islamic Sciences at the University of Baghdad organized a workshop titled “Education and Digital Transformation: From Reality to the Future Using Artificial Intelligence”, under the patronage of Dean Prof. Dr. Naama Dahesh Farhan, reflecting the institution’s drive to embrace major technological shifts.

The workshop, presented by Assistant Lecturer Zainab Sameer Shaker, explored the educational landscape and the gap between traditional methods and accelerating digital demands, emphasizing how AI can reshape teaching and research roles, particularly in the humanities and academic content creation.

Recommendations called for rapid integration of AI applications into curricula and research plans, alongside sustainable training programs to strengthen digital literacy and ensure a smooth transition toward intelligent, interactive learning environments. This initiative aligns with the UN Sustainable Development Goals, notably Goal 4 (Quality Education) and Goal 9 (Innovation and Infrastructure), positioning the college as a foundation for sustainable, technology-driven education.
