The Human Rights Division at the University of Baghdad held a meeting with representatives of the human rights units in the university’s colleges and departments to discuss the university’s experience in consolidating human rights concepts and to review the most prominent activities and initiatives carried out in this field.
The meeting included a presentation of the activities and initiatives of the human rights units across the university’s formations, as well as a discussion of the most notable outcomes achieved and the challenges facing the units’ work. Several proposals were also put forward to develop working mechanisms and strengthen the units’ role in spreading a culture of human rights within the university environment.
The meeting also saw an exchange of views and experiences among the units’ representatives, contributing to unifying efforts, activating awareness programs and activities, and strengthening the presence of human rights concepts across the various formations of the University of Baghdad.
This activity supports the Sustainable Development Goals, namely Goal 4, which calls for quality education, as well as Goal 17, which concerns partnerships for the goals
