The University of Baghdad volleyball team secured the title of the Iraqi Universities Volleyball Championship for students after defeating the University of Anbar team in the final match with a score of three sets to none, with scores of “25-23, 25-20, 25-22”.

This championship is part of the program of the Student Activities Department within the Supervision and Scientific Evaluation Directorate at the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research. It was held in Basra Governorate, hosted by the University of Basra and the Southern Technical University, with the participation of 40 universities.

The University of Baghdad team succeeded in winning all six matches played in the championship, with a score of three sets to none in each match. This championship adds to the list of achievements of the University of Baghdad, under the leadership of the coaches and players from the College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences. The technical staff of the University of Baghdad team includes Dr. Alaa Mohsen as the head coach and Dr. Omar Saeed as the assistant coach, along with players from the college.
