The University of Baghdad volleyball team qualified for the quarterfinals of the Iraqi Universities Championship held in Basra Governorate, under the follow-up of the President of the University of Baghdad, Prof. Dr. Bahaa Ibraheem Ansaf, and the supervision of the Assistant President for Administrative Affairs, Assistant Professor Dr. Amir Faisal Abdul Amir, and the Department of Student Activities, Dr. Ali Sadiq.

The University of Baghdad volleyball team achieved its victory over the University of Babylon team with a score of (2/null), in the university championship, in which more than (50) universities from various Iraqi provinces participated.

Dr. Ali Sadiq, Director of the Student Activities Department, said that the University of Baghdad team participated in the tournament after the great support of the President of the University, Prof. Dr. Bahaa Ansaf, and the administrative assistant, Dr. Amir Faisal who provided all the requirements to participate and reach the final and win the championship cup.

The championship aims to support the energies and talents of young students and to work on developing them to put them in the right place to strengthen their university personalities and mental capabilities through their participation in forums and festivals held inside and outside Iraq.
