Under the patronage of the President of the University of Baghdad, Prof.Dr. Bahaa Ibraheem Ansaf, and in the presence of the President of the Football Association, Mr. Adnan Dirjal, and supervised of the Dean of the College of Arts, Prof.Dr. Ali Abdul Amir, and under the slogan “Sport is a refinement of souls, not just a pursuit of trophies,” the College of Arts at the University of Baghdad, in collaboration with the Student Activities Department, organized an event to inaugurate the College of Arts stadium and fitness hall. This initiative is considered vital in nurturing the talents of university students, fostering their personal development, and providing them with opportunities for leisure and recreation.

The event included artistic, sports, and cultural activities, as well as the opening of an art exhibition featuring paintings by a group of talented students. In his speech, Prof.Dr. Bahaa, expressed gratitude for the efforts made by the college in organizing this event, which has contributed to the building of the Iraqi state and neighboring countries and the world. He emphasized the importance for students to continue forward to complete this journey, considering the student as a positive agent of change in society.

The Dean of the College emphasized the importance of enhancing the university environment for both students and faculty members by inaugurating several scientific projects. These include the Anthropology and Psychology laboratories, the climatic station, and the establishment of a unit for social and psychological services aimed at serving the community. Furthermore, initiatives such as the introduction of new studies like clinical psychology and manuscript research, as well as the development of geographic information systems, along with the enhancement of academic systems and intensified training, underscore the commitment to equipping students with the skills necessary for the job market.
