Under the patronage of the Prime Minister, Eng. Muhammad Shia Al-Sudani, under the supervision of the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Naim Al-Aboudi, and in the presence of the Rector of the University of Baghdad, Prof. Dr. Bahaa Ibraheem Ansaf, and the Dean of the Ibn Rushd College of Education for Human Sciences, Prof. Dr. Allawi Sider Jazea, Ibn Rushd College of Education for Humanities held a diamond jubilee ceremony on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of its establishment since 1924.

The Cultural Advisor to the Prime Minister conveyed congratulations and blessings to the college on the centenary occasion and stated that it is not a celebration for the college only, but rather a celebration for the entire Iraq, as this college is the high teachers’ house, which started from a small school and graduated 11 teachers to become a cultural edifice that graduated thousands of cadres and scientific competencies.

During the ceremony, the Rector of the University of Baghdad also recalled the honorable history of the College of Education Ibn Rushd, and stressed the need to look with optimism for the future through a strategic vision commensurate with the scientific, qualitative, and quantitative weight of the University of Baghdad, which was evident through the University of Baghdad topping the local and international rankings and academic accreditation programs. The Rector of the University also stressed the development of an action plan to upgrade the university during the next few years in line with the development plans of the Iraqi state through the development of study programs. and increase capacity.
