AL-Khwarizmi Engineering College at the University of Baghdad organized a scientific seminar on the concept of gender and its negative impacts. The Symposium was presented by Dr. Alaa Kareem Mohammed, and it was attended by several faculty members and staff of the college.
The seminar aimed to introduce the concept of gender, reveal promotional and marketing strategies, and clarify the concepts and terminology related to this subject. It also covered understanding the negative effects of the gender concept, aiming to undermine the roles of family, society, values, cultural norms, and ethical and religious principles.
The event concluded with a set of recommendations, including the necessity to differentiate and understand the terms related to gender theory. It emphasized preventing attempts of promotion and marketing and called for intensified efforts to educate and raise awareness in society about the negative impacts of the gender concept
