Dr. Ali Adel Abdul Hamid, a teacher at the University of Baghdad, presented research published in the Scopus International Repository on the impact of crude oil on the geotechnical properties of different soils and advanced treatment methods in Babylon Governorate.
The research indicated a description of the geotechnical characteristics of the soil file in the city of Hilla within the province of Babylon in the central parts of Iraq, where geotechnical data were collected at the specified sites from some geotechnical investigation reports conducted in some selected sites. The article explained that the distribution of soil properties (physical and mechanical) in the horizontal and vertical directions in which the results of the slope according to the nature of the soil are coherent to a depth of 15 m below the normal ground level, and the soil will turn into incoherent.
The Presidency of the University of Baghdad, represented by Dr. Munir Hamid Al-Saadi, Rector of the University, valued the efforts of Dr. Ali Adel Abdul Hamid and praised the great scientific efforts provided by the teaching staff at the university, expressing the university’s readiness to provide all kinds of support to researchers to advance the scientific and educational reality at the university.
