Under the patronage of the Minister of Higher Education, Dr. Naim Al-Aboudi, and under the supervision of the Rector of the University of Baghdad, Prof. Dr. Munir Al-Saadi, and in the presence of representatives of the legislative authority, the University of Baghdad hosted a carnival to care for children with cerebral palsy.

Representing the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, the Rector of the University of Baghdad stressed the keenness of the University of Baghdad to host such carnivals to serve the children of Iraqi society and highlight them by inviting representatives of the House of Representatives and the government to enact and legislate laws that contribute to helping people with disabilities.

A member of the Iraqi Council of Representatives, Dr. Adel Al-Rikabi, added that the segment of children with cerebral palsy is estimated at more than 200,000 children at the level of Iraq who lack the required health care and attention, and this segment and their families must be given the service they deserve.
