The University of Baghdad participated in the opening of the Iraq Education Exhibition and Conference 2023, in the presence of the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Naim Al-Aboudi, Prof. Dr. Wadud Taher, Dean of the College of Engineering Al-Khwarizmi at the University of Baghdad, and a representative of Prof. Dr. Munir Hamid Al-Saadi, Rector of the University of Baghdad, with Arab and international participation and distinguished academic presence.
During the opening ceremony, the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research stressed in his speech that the ministry has succeeded in establishing an environment of openness to global academic spaces, and the unprecedented educational transformation to the Bologna track, which was implemented through partnership and cooperation with UNESCO in technical universities and that it will take its way to implementation in more than six hundred specialized departments in the faculties of engineering and science in governmental and private university formations, and the pioneering project (Study in Iraq), in which more than three thousand international students have registered to study in Iraqi universities.
The opening activities included a number of official speeches of the presidency of the Parliamentary Higher Education Committee and representatives of international institutions and companies. The exhibition also included pavilions for Iraqi universities, governmental, private, Arab, and foreign, technology and education companies. The pavilion of the University of Baghdad had a distinguished presence in the exhibition represented by the presentation of patents and scientific products for a number of the formations of the University.
