The Director of the Center for Women’s Studies at the university of Baghdad, Assist.Prof.Dr. Azraa Ismail, participated in a joint research paper titled “Women and Cultural Pluralism.” The paper was done in collaboration with Dr. Intisar Khalil from Tikrit University, who presented the research at the Women’s Forum and Dialogue of Civilizations event held in London, UK, from 22 to 24- August, 2023.
The research focused on the challenges faced by women in the diaspora and displacement due to cultural pluralism. The researcher emphasized the importance of negotiation to find a common cultural ground between the home country and the host country, aiming to facilitate the integration of women into diaspora societies and overcome integration challenges.
This participation reflects the University of Baghdad’s commitment to engage in cultural and academic events, enhancing its global standing and contributing to education in Iraq.
