The Rector of the University of Baghdad, Prof.Dr.Munir Al-Saadi, has attended the meeting of the Prime Minister, Mr. Mohammed Shia’ Al Sudani with university presidents and Advanced Staff at Ministry of Higher Education.
During the pivotal meeting, they discussed the needs of the labor market, existence of new and innovative professions that require qualification for their practice and investment, focus on the disciplines that our economy and institutions need, role of universities in solving real problems through development staff and setting real tests that determine the correct eligibility, as well as benefiting from scholarships by placing them in their appropriate places that achieve the desired advantage from their scholarship.
In a word during the meeting, Prime Minister, “mentioned that the higher education was the sector most affected during wars and economic blockade, occupation, security conditions and fight against terrorism, indicating the importance of education and its connection to the benefits of all fields and sectors, and its role in building the individual and society.”
