Prof. Dr. Munir Hamid Al-Saadi, the Rector of the University of Baghdad, received at the Presidency of the University, Mr. Jin Yonida, Director of the Japan International Cooperation Agency in Iraq and his accompanying delegation, in the presence of Dr. Omar Faleh Hassan, the Director of the Department of Quality Assurance and Academic Performance at the University of Baghdad.
During the meeting discussed topics related to diplomacy, international relations, and the JICA program, as the JICA program for Japanese studies is to learn about Japan’s history in modernization, development, international cooperation, research, and academic cooperation and training between the University of Baghdad and Japanese universities, where Al-Saadi stressed that the University of Baghdad is entering a new phase of international cooperation and going to open up more to the universities of the world to train the human resources of the University of Baghdad.
The Japanese delegation visited the College of Political Science at the University of Baghdad, accompanied by Dr. Omar Faleh Hassan, and they were received by Dr. Adel Al-Budaiwi, the Dean of the College and his scientific and administrative assistant, where he toured the corridors of the college and was briefed on the course of the educational process in the college, at the end of the visit, the Japanese delegation thanked the University of Baghdad for the good reception, wishing continued scientific and academic communication between the two friendly countries.
