On the occasion of the cultural day celebration in the Department of Spanish Language at the College of Languages, University of Baghdad, the Ambassador of the Kingdom of Spain, Mr.Pedro Martinez, participated in the ceremony, which was attended by a member of the House of Representatives representing the Education Committee, Mr.Muhammad Qutayba Al-Jubouri, and Mr.Kazem Al-Shammari. Assist.Prof.Dr. Ali Adnan Meshawsh, Assist. Prof.Dr. Ammar Odeh Jawir, Associate Dean for Scientific Affairs, Head of the Spanish Language Department, and the Department professors and students.
At the outset of the ceremony, His Excellency the Ambassador delivered a speech in which he praised the department’s efforts in teaching the Spanish language and the performance of the students and their ability to master the language. The event included a number of literary and linguistic activities in the Spanish language presented by the students of the department. In turn, His Excellency expressed his happiness for the scientific and linguistic development of the students and the possibilities offered by the department to develop their skills.
