Prof.Dr.Munir Al-Saadi, the rector of the University of Baghdad, has received Adviser of the Swedish Embassy for Development Affairs and responsible for the Agency for International Cooperation and Development in presence of Heads of departments in the College of Engineering and the Department of Academic Performance.

During the meeting, they discussed topics related to climate change and the need to confront water shortages and environmental changes and ways of cooperation between Swedish universities and institutions and what is required for the next stage of creating opportunities and prospects for cooperation. Al-Saadi, also expressed the university’s serious desire to cooperate by holding more meetings and establishing groups of joint workshops and lectures between the two parties to achieve a number of scientific and cultural gains through communication and benefit from the experiences between the two universities.

In turn, the Swedish delegation expressed its happiness at being in Iraq and visiting the University of Baghdad, stressing their great admiration for the university and its large and advanced scientific facilities, indicating Sweden’s desire to consolidate cultural relations and seek to expand them to serve the mutual interests between the two friendly countries.
