The Studies and Planning Department at the University of Baghdad, has organized a Symposium entitled (Sustainable Development goals 2023 ) in the presence of the Dean of the College of Physical Education and Sports Science, the Assistant Administrative Dean, the head of the Studies and Planning Department, and a number of researchers, professors and students.
The agenda of the symposium included lectures by professors and researchers from various universities in Iraq and it focused on achieving the goals of sustainable development, cooperation and work with all partners in a practical way to be able to make the right choices to improve life in a sustainable way for future generations.
During the course of the symposium, the launch of the (University of Baghdad Platform for Sustainable Development) was announced, headed by the Director of the Studies and Planning Department, Dr. Manal Al-Kubaisi. This platform will provide a space for dialogue and work towards positive change to raise community awareness for the advancement and achievement of sustainable development goals.
It is worth noting that the Sustainable Development Goals represent a comprehensive roadmap to treat the root causes of poverty and unite peoples to make a positive change to the world and focus on the inclusiveness of all, where no country can work alone to achieve social and economic growth within its borders only, but countries must cooperate to ensure the achievement of the long goals term.
