The College of Veterinary Medicine at the University of Baghdad, under the slogan (scientific research is a output of knowledge and a path of development), held its 14th scientific conference (the third international), in the presence of the Dean of the College of Science, representing the Rector of the University, Prof. Dr. Abdul Karim Al-Qazzaz, a member of the Parliamentary Education Committee, Dr. Yassin Al-Ithawi, and the representative of the National Security Advisers in the Prime Minister’s Office, Dr. Ali Al-Mamouri, as well as the deans of veterinary colleges in Iraqi universities.

In turn, the representative of the Rector of the University of Baghdad stressed that the conferences come to exchange local and international experiences that contributed to the entry of the University of Baghdad to the sober international rankings. For his part, the Dean of the College of Veterinary Medicine, Prof. Dr. Hamid Ali Kazim, pointed to the importance of scientific research and the great attention paid by the college to researchers, which culminated in the college obtaining the first rank in the Iraqi colleges of veterinary medicine and the third in the Middle East.

The conference also included a number of international lectures from the United States of America and Britain, where important lectures were given, followed by the presentation of a documentary film that talked about the most important achievements of the college for the past year. The conference concluded with the opening of the museum of the College of Veterinary Medicine, which is the first since the establishment of the college and included many historical photos, devices, and old surgical and laboratory tools, as well as a group of shields and gifts obtained by the college.
