Assist. Lecturer Aida Mustafa Salman, the Secretary General of the Central Library, at the University of Baghdad, has received the Japanese Ambassador Mr.Futoshi Matsumoto, accompanied by the Assistant Rector for Scientific Affairs, Prof. Dr. Marwan Abdul Hameed Ashour. The visit came to strengthen cultural and academic relations between the University of Japan and the University of Baghdad. His Excellency the Ambassador toured the corridors of the library and visited the Indian corner, the Chinese corner and the American corner to learn about the services they provide to all students and researchers.
Earlier, the Japanese ambassador met the Rector of the University of Baghdad, Prof. Dr. Munir Hamid Al-Saadi, as the two sides agreed to establish a Japanese corner in the Central Library in order to provide services to students and professors, as well as opening courses to teach Japa nese to university students
