Under the slogan (College of Medicine, University of Baghdad, originality – leadership – excellence), the College of Medicine at the University of Baghdad held its 19th scientific conference, in the presence of His Excellency of the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Naim Al-Aboudi , the Chief of the Office of the Presidency of the Republic,Mr. Kamel Karim Al-Dulaimi, the Rector of the University, Prof. Dr. Munir Hamid Al-Saadi, and a huge number of scientific and academic figures.
The conference activities began with a speech by His Excellency the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Naim Al-Aboudi, in which he stressed that the Ministry of Higher Education has tended to achieve the quality of specialized educational services, which requires a comprehensive methodology that begins with university administrations, which must have a vision and ability to achieve interaction, cooperation, and harmony in order to undertake responsibility to the requirements of the public interest.
In turn, the Rector of the University indicated that the university of Baghdad, by virtue of its scientific and academic heritage, reputation, and sobriety, makes the rising of the educational level a priority, as the number of published research reached (21,217) scientific research in the Scopus and more than (9,000) research in the Clarvet. The conference included the presentation of a documentary film on the history of the establishment of the college in 1927, the most prominent scientific and medical achievements, and the praise of pioneering and retired doctors who left an important imprint on medicine in Iraq. The conference also dealt with scientific axes, including developments in clinical sciences and scientific research in preliminary and postgraduate studies, as well as the management of the quality of evaluation and education.
