The College of Dentistry at the University of Baghdad held its twenty-third international scientific conference under the slogan (Modern Dentistry Towards Perfection and Creativity) in the presence of the Rector of the University of Baghdad, Prof. Dr. Munir Humaid Al-Saadi, the Rector of Al Ain University, Prof. Dr. Shafiq Shaker, the Director General of the Inspection Department at the Ministry of Health, Dr. Abbas Sabah, deans of colleges ,and pioneers of dentistry from various public and private universities, as well as a large number of researchers, participants, faculty members of college, postgraduate and undergraduate students.
The conference opened with a reading of verses from the Holy Quran and playing the national anthem and reading surat al-Fatiha glorifying the souls of the martyrs, then the Dean of the College delivered his speech on this occasion that included a presentation of the most important scientific achievements of the College and its advanced level in international and Arab rankings. The Rector of the University also urged on promoting the scientific research and the adoption of modern programs in the embodiment to the university’s achievements by exceeding the barrier of 21 thousand of research in Scopus.
The conference was attended by a large number of researchers from different countries. The participation included a scientific researches and posters as well as valuable scientific researches. At the end of the event, certificates of appreciation were presented to the participants in the conference. Prof. Dr. Munir, praised the efforts of the scientific and preparatory committees for the success of this great scientific edifice, wishing continuous progress and prosperity of the College.
