Institute of Urban and Regional Planning for Postgraduate organizes Workshop entitled (Investment Challenges in the Housing Sector)

The Institute of Urban and Regional Planning for Postgraduate at the University of Baghdad organized a workshop entitled (Investment Challenges in the Housing Sector), delivered by Prof. Dr. Jamal Baqir Mutlaq, a professor at the center.
After selecting models of investment projects, the workshop dealt with the problems and the need for housing, in addition to the feasibility of housing projects.  Challenges that face the investor under the investment law and the instructions in force regarding the selection of residential sites were discussed, as well as the technical and qualitative level of investment projects. Dr. Mutlak,a participant in the conference , added that the investment problems focused on the selection of investment companies, the mechanism of ratification and approvals, the limited land allocated for investment projects, as well as the lack of feasibility studies and control over implementation.
