The director of the National Center for Population and Demographic Studies at the University of Baghdad received Dr. Nasr Shamil Salman, the advisor of the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) in Iraq, Mr. Mahdi Al-Alaq, the Resident Representative of the United Nations Population Fund, Denistor Omuhangi, and Mrs. Suha Nimr, Head of the Population Sector. The mentioned officials were introduced to the process of work and how to publish research on population studies.
During his visit to the sections of the center, Al-Alaq also inspected the needs of the center to provide the required support for scientific activities and activating work at the research level for professors, as well as activating joint work between the center and the Ministry of Planning and the relevant departments. At the end of the visit, the importance of activating the center’s activities was stressed, in addition to establishing a number of seminars and conferences to provide more information about the center by inviting a larger number of personalities to highlight the relevant tasks and achievements.
