The Center for Population and Demographic Studies, has organized a workshop about the Phenomenon of Smog and its impact on the health of the population delivered by the director of the center,  Dr. Nasr Shamil Salman. The workshop aimed at explaining the definition of smog and its most important causes and methods of treatment. The workshop dealt with the increase in environmental pollution phenomena in Iraq, which is the phenomenon of smog , a phenomenon that has a significant impact on human health including the effect of Acetylperoxy or proxiacetyl ,the danger of these gases increases when temperatures are exposed to fluctuation during a sunny day, pointing out that this phenomenon can be seen in the city of Baghdad, especially in the city center, specifically in the early morning on winter days and in the form of a nebulous cloud that envelops the atmosphere of the city. At the end the event, Dr. Nasr concluded that the phenomenon of smog is one of the most dangerous manifestations of condensation, which is formed when high atmospheric pressure prevails associated with a surface thermal inversion and frequently occurs in major cities with high traffic densities, in addition to the atmosphere of some industrial areas whose smoke minutes increase in their atmosphere.
