The College of Fine Arts, at the University of Baghdad, has organized a Festival of Al-Jurh for the second year respectively on occasion of the martyrdom of Imam Ali,( peace be upon him), in the presence of His Excellency the minister of higher education and scientific research, Dr. Naim Al-Aboudi, Director of Cultural Affairs at the Ministry of Culture, Mr. Aref Al-Saadi, and a huge number of faculty members and students of college.The festival witnessed a choral of anthems which describe the virtues of Imam Ali (peace be upon him) and an art exhibition including (30) plastic paintings which embodied the painful occasion. During the event, presented a theatrical offer entitled (AL-Ajal Haris) about the Imam’s virtue and historical positions for the sake of the elevation and glory of Islam.
