A delegation including Mr.Ville Varjola, the ambassador of the European Union to Iraq, Mr.Maurizio Greganti, the ambassador of Italian to Iraq, and Mr. Ali Reza Guney, the ambassador of the Republic of Turkey to Iraq , was received by the Rector of the University of Baghdad, Pro.Dr.Munir Hamid al-Saadi. During the meeting, they discussed a number of topics and files of mutual interest to develop the cooperation on several levels, especially development of the entrepreneurship in Archaeology to Iraqi, that contribute to the improvement of the students’ employability in the field of Humanities in Iraq by creating new pathways of cooperation between Universities and the public and enterprise sectors.
The meeting was attended by a delegation from the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, headed by Prof. Dr. Hazem Baqer Taher, the Director of the Scholarships and Cultural Relations Department, Dr.Laith Majeed Hussein, Head of State Board of Antiquities and Heritage in the Ministry of Culture, and a number of delegations of Iraqi universities participating in this project. In addition , a number of students of the universities display their projects including (The BANUU Project) which was warmly received by the attendees; It is planned that these projects will be implement particularly in the sectors of tourism and antiquities.
