The University of Baghdad Council held its thirteenth meeting to discuss a number of issues presided over by the rector, Prof. Dr. Munir Hamid al-Saadi and in the presence of the deans of all colleges, as well as directors of postgraduate institutes, research & service centers. He directed to all deans to participate in the second exhibition of scientific outputs including research projects, patents in general and in the Study in Iraq Project sponsored by the ministry of higher education and scientific research and that would be held at the University of Baghdad.
He called for paying attention to form research teams in coordination with foreign universities concerned with (Internationalization) aimed at building academic relations with prestigious global universities. On the sidelines of the session, the members of the university’s council discussed other matters such as reducing wages for a number of humanitarian cases for undergraduate & postgraduate students, extending the service of a number of professors due to the need for their services in teaching and supervising postgraduate scholars, as well as postponing the study for a number of students on condition that the related recommendations would be submitted to the ministry.
