The Department of Public Administration at the College of Management and Economics of the University of Baghdad, has lately organized a workshop entitled (Drug Control) delivered by the lecturer Asrar Abdul Zahra Ali and some members of the National Security Agency in the presence of the assistant dean for scientific affairs, Dr. Mustafa Munir Ismael, head of department, professors, employes in addition to a great gathering of students.
The lecturer at first defined the kinds of drugs, how to treat and protect ourselves from its risks as being one of the crucial threats faced by the communities in general and our country in particular. It is noteworthy that drug addiction is representing a scourge that affects the young people at present, so there is a need for establishing awareness workshops for the university’s students in support of our security bodies so as to stop the traffickers in people’s lives and peoples’ economies. This event is not the first of its kind in coordination with the National Security Agency in this regard since a number of similar workshops have been organized previously, namely in the cyber extortion crimes.
