The University of Baghdad has recently got four awards in the Career Day Festival held at Baghdad Province sponsored by His Excellency the Iraqi Prime Minister, the engineer Mohammed Shia’ Al-Sudani, where Assist. Prof. Dr. Affaq Ibrahim Juma’a won the first place in the (Hope Makers Category) for her project targeted towards planting one million trees, entitled (Green Dream). His Excellency the Prime Minister and the Governor of Baghdad have awarded the Lecturer Dr. Najah Abdul Hassan from the department of geology at the college of science with the Creativity and Scientific Achievement Award for establishing, along with his team, a seismic monitoring and spatial data analysis laboratory.

Also Assist. Prof. Dr. Hassanian Ahmed Hadi from the college of dentistry has been granted the Career Creativity Award in the (Giving Career Category) for supporting the heroes of the Popular Mobilization Forces in treating the wounded in the battles against terrorist organizations. Assist. Prof. Dr. Rana Ali Mukhlif from the college of media has won the Creativity Award in the category of (Human Development Category) for carrying out with her students many voluntary initiatives in the service of the community. It is noteworthy that the University of Baghdad has hosted this event for the second year respectively through contribution in the preparatory and arbitration committees. However, Prof. Dr. Adel al-Ghurairi was honored with the Creativity Shield as being a member of the preparatory committee representing our university, in addition to awarding the members of the arbitration committee: Assist. Prof. Dr. Abaas Awaid Elaiwi the Consultant Physician from Al-Kindy College of Medicine and the Prof. Dr. Erada Zaidan al-Juboori from the college of media, and the Assist. Lecturer Qusai al-Ghurairi were awarded with the Career Creativity Shield for their sincere efforts.
