The Department of Quality Assurance and University Performance at the University of Baghdad has recently organized a workshop entitled (Iraqi Laboratory Quality Standards of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research/2nd Issue) delivered by the official of the Laboratory Quality Division, Assist. Prof. Dr. Luma Hassan Alwan. This event shed light on the reality of labs as being an educational environment targeted towards skill building and the consolidation of knowledge by addressing all kinds of laboratories according to their educational, research or service functions, as well as their chemical, physical or biological disciplines. The participants stressed on various axes, including the safety, security and quality requirements in the university’s scientific labs.
