The Scientific Affairs Unit at the College of Pharmacy has organized a panel discussion on the role of the pharmacist in terms of mental health and improving its quality among the patients with psychiatric illnesses and delivered by Pharmacist Samaa Ziauddin Ibrahim who is a master’s student at the Clinical Pharmacy Branch.

The workshop aimed to summarize the importance of the role of the pharmacist in the field of mental health and improve its quality, as the first line of treatment in psychotherapy is medications, which highlights the importance of the pharmacist’s role in mental health. The lecture also included various topics such as an introduction to the role of the pharmacist in psychological education and identifying psychological problems, as well as encouraging patients to commit to taking the drug in the right way, and in the end, the most important obstacles in the application of mental health services in the pharmacy were clarified.
