The Volunteer Work Committee of the College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences, in cooperation with a group of professors, has carried out a voluntary campaign for the swimming team for people with intellectual disabilities and the down & autism syndromes campaign of the Special Olympics.
The campaign included many events, the first of which included a warm-up and public or private training, concluding with physical recreational games led by the trainer, Dr. Ahlam Shaghati, while in the second event, the team went to the basketball court, headed by Dr. Faris Sami, providing basketballs, playgrounds and coaches so as to play basketball with the swimming team. The third event included receiving gifts distributed to them by the head of the volunteer work committee represented Prof. Dr. Sabah Qasim.
