Prof. Dr. Munir Hamid al-Saadi, the rector of the University of Baghdad has presided over the periodic session of the University’s council to discuss a number of administrative and scientific matters, including the objectives and standards of the academic accreditation given to some colleges, as well as discussing the establishment of exhibitions of distinguished scientific products of faculty members and students. Dr. Munir al-Saadi also explained the importance of entry of Iraqi academic journals in international rankings and repositories such as Scopus database, in addition to confirming the reduction of tuition fees and wages of undergraduate and parallel studies taking into consideration the economic and health conditions according to the powers granted to the university.
