The rector of the University of Baghdad, Prof. Dr. Munir Hamid al-Saadi, has announced the university’s commitment to the (Study in Iraq) initiative, based on the directives of His Excellency the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Naim al-Aboudi, for accepting foreign students who want to study in the University of Baghdad’s faculties. The rector stated during his speech that one to two seats are dedicated for the master’s and doctoral study in this fellowships program as well as two to five seats for the bachelor degree. He added that the university has set the basic requirements for student residence in dormitories, as well as its endeavor to develop courses in the Arabic language for non-native speakers for six months or a year, indicating that there are scientific committees discussing the requirements for applying in these programs.
