The Department of Chemistry at the College of Education for Pure Sciences (Ibn Al-Haitham) at the University of Baghdad, in cooperation with the Scientific Affairs Unit, has organized recently a seminar on the (Women Leadership) that dealt with the status of women in the family and society, their noble missionary role in the renaissance of any nation through the education of society on values, principles and balanced thought, in their absence there is a defect in the societal and human structure, as they are the basis of balance and the axis of life, as women have proven their active and vital leadership role throughout times and ages, including the positive change and development they have brought about in all leadership positions they have assumed in all sectors of political, economic, cultural, educational and social life.

The panel discussion also included many different points of view on women leaders, presenting a research summary on this topic, their ideas and experiences in this context in addition to the measures that may contribute to the development and empowerment of women in light of the current challenges of women’s work. The participants reached at a set of recommendations, including justice in the application of laws and legislative regulations to women and men without favoritism and discrimination, as well as the upbringing of females from an early age in the appropriate way stemming from the original educational values of the community.
