Within the activities of the Continuing Education Center for Women’s Empowerment and in cooperation with the Women’s Empowerment Unit at the presidency of the University of Baghdad, the Center for Development and Continuing Education has organized a lecture entitled (The Role of Women in Islam: Their Rights and Status), presented by the lecturer Abdullah Hassan Hussein, in the presence of the center’s employees and professors from outside the center. The lecture dealt with the status and rights of women under Islam and the Sunnah that refers to the sayings and practices of the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH), through explaining the large gap between Islam and other regimes.
