The students of the second grade of the evening studies at the College of Political Science, the University of Baghdad have organized an awareness symposium on the danger of drugs and their spread in the Iraqi community. The lecturers gave an introductory and awareness explanation about the dangers caused by this scourge, as well as emphasizing the role of the family and educational institutions in educating people about these dangers.
At the end of the seminar, the researchers recommended appealing to the Supreme Religious Authority to play its important paternal role to fight this deadly scourge, as well as appealing to tribal sheikhs of clans as they are the main pillar of community building to take their responsibility for fighting this phenomenon that wreaks havoc in the society, in addition to calling on civil society organizations to take their role in this regard through awareness, education and definition of the danger of drugs.
