Symposium against violence towards women at Al-Khwarizmi College of Engineering

The Continuing Education Unit at Al-Khwarizmi College of Engineering, in cooperation with the Women’s Empowerment Unit at the University of Baghdad, held an awareness symposium within the 16 Days Campaign to Eliminate Violence against Women entitled (No to Violence against Women). The symposium was divided into two axes, the first one included the economic, social and psychological conditions of violence, its causes and treatment methods to get rid of this phenomenon, while the second level dealt with domestic violence, the causes of domestic violence and its effects, and the statistics of violence in the governorates, how to report when such a phenomenon occurs.
