The Department of Accounting of the College of Administration and Economics, has organized a scientific trip for the doctoral students to the Ernst & Young Global Limited that is a multinational professional services partnership headquartered in London, England. This company is specialized in accounting operations to learn about the reality of applying international financial reporting standards in the local environment and the challenges facing international auditing firms operating in Iraq. During the visit, the problems and challenges in the application of the International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRSs) were identified, especially IFRS 16 “Rent”. It is noteworthy that Prof. Dr. Bushra Najim Abdullah and the Assist. Prof. Dr. Miad Hameed have supervised on these visits.
