The Center for Women’s Studies at the University of Baghdad held a workshop entitled (The National Policy for the Elderly in Iraq) among the participations at the national level, which reflects the dimensions of the active participation of the faculty members and staff of the center so as to enhance support for all segments, especially elderly women, and to provide support to discuss the final draft of the elderly in the presence of the director of the center, Assist. Prof. Dr. Athraa Ismail Zaidan, and the head of the International Community Research Department, Assist. Prof. Dr. Abeer al-Khalidi.
This distinguished scientific activity of the Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs, in cooperation with the United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Western Asia (ESCWA) and in the presence of representatives of all Iraqi ministries, was attended by distinguished scientific and academic figures, including Brigadier General Ghaleb Al-Attiyah, the Director of the Community Police of the Iraqi Ministry of Interior.
