A lecture was held at the Center for Women’s Studies on the types of violence against women and girls as part of the 16-day campaign to combat violence against women, delivered by the Assist. Lecturer Baida Abdullah in which she explained the types of violence: including physical, psychological, economic and emotional violence, and how each type affects the personality and behavior of women and that may be reflected on their roles in community.

The lecturer reached several conclusions and recommendations, including the practice of violence against women leads to a defect in family cohesion and the practice of violence against women The safety of children leads to the production of an unconscious and irresponsible generation and violence against women leads to psychological and neurological problems, which leads to suicide and attention to domestic violence issues by opening shelters for survivors of violence and providing them with support with the need to educate society about the dangers of violence against women, which reflects negatively on the family and society as the family is the nucleus in society and the legislation of laws to combat domestic violence.
