The Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of Arab Scientific Heritage at the Center for the Revival of Arab Scientific Heritage at the University of Baghdad, Dr. Liqaa Shaker al-Sharifi, has participated in a workshop in cooperation with the Women’s Empowerment Unit for Arab and International Studies at Al-Mustansiriya University entitled (Violence against Women in Iraq: Reality and Types).

The lecture summarized the nature of violence as a social phenomenon that occurred in society in general and Baghdadi in particular, especially violence against women of all kinds of material and moral. Dr. Liqaa Shaker stressed on the treatment of this dangerous phenomenon that has become a threat to society and the stability of the Iraqi family, as well as a set of solutions and proposals that address this phenomenon that is not commensurate with the data of the Islamic religion and the customs and traditions of Iraqi community.
