A cultural and artistic festival sponsored by the department of student activities

The Department of Student Activities held an artistic festival that included an exhibition of various paintings, in the presence of the rector of the University of Baghdad, Prof. Dr. Munir Hamid al-Saadi, the assistant rector for administrative affairs, Assist. Prof. Dr. Sarmad Fouad Jaber along with a number of Iraqi university rectors and deans of colleges in addition to some public figures. This festival included sculpture and ceramic works, a collection of plastic paintings, wood engraving and other arts that reflected the aspects of the Iraqi civilization. For his part, Dr. Munir al-Saadi also praised such artistic works and creative paintings made by faculty members and students and praising the efforts exerted by the officials of the artistic units at all university’s formations that reflect our cultural heritage. In conclusion, the awards were distributed to the participating artists by the assistant rector for administrative affairs in appreciation of their sincere efforts in such events.
