The Department of Quality Assurance and University Performance at the presidency of the University of Baghdad held a workshop on the best tools and resources for academic research (2022-2023). The workshop aimed to raise the level of the studies conducted by the faulty members and scholars of the University of Baghdad as well as to introduce lecturers to the best websites and tools of scientific research to enable them to keep pace with the developments witnessed during the recent years.
The participants reached at a set of recommendations, including that the publication of research should be limited to sober journals so that the researchers should avoid commercial offices or predatory journals. It is noteworthy that this event comes within a series of activities of the University of Baghdad carried out for the sake of raising its rank in Scopus and Clarivate Analytics, since it has published (19,937) research papers in Scopus database being the first Iraqi university in this regard.
